Rules and Regulations

General Rules

    • Students must always carry their college ID cards to class and present them upon request from the principal, instructors, or office personnel.
    • Students are not allowed to engage in behaviour that offends morality or is detrimental to the college’s future student body.
    • Other than their own classroom, students are not permitted to enter.
    • On campus, students are required to uphold stringent discipline. They must treat the principal, faculty members, office staff, guests, and other students with respect and civility.
    • The pupils are required to dress in proper, spotless attire. They must dress in accordance with social and cultural norms, avoiding any vulgarity that passes for fashion.
    • The campus and the classrooms must be kept neat and tidy by the students. They must stop defacing the classroom’s walls, chairs, doors, and windows, among other things. No writing is permitted on the college’s and the nearby buildings’ common walls.
    • On campus, it is against the law to engage in political activity or run student groups. Processions, unofficial gatherings, strikes, protests, rallies, fund-raising efforts, and slogan-uttering are all completely prohibited on college property. Students who break the aforementioned restrictions risk being instantly expelled from the college.
    • Without the principal’s approval, banners, flags, posters, boards, notices, brochures, etc. are not permitted inside the campus or at the gates for any activity.
    • Strict discipline is enforced throughout all college official meetings.
    • Strict discipline must be upheld at all college-conducted official sessions. No student is permitted to leave the hall or pavilion during a meeting until it has concluded.
    • Without the principal’s approval, no event or gathering may be planned, nor may money be raised in the college.
    • On the college campus, using mobile phones, cinematic dance, and fashion shows are not permitted. Discipline will be applied if these rules are broken. The use of mobile phones on college campuses is absolutely forbidden under the directives given by several authorities, including the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala [WP (c) 23377/09]. Those who break this regulation shall be subject to a fine of Rs. 750. Mobile
    • Camera-equipped mobile phones will be seized. To put the regulation into effect, a surprise inspection team is organised.
    • Ragging is absolutely forbidden in all forms. The Principal shall notify the closest Police Station whenever a crime or offence is committed in the name of ragging. According to the current guidelines, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against the offenders.
    • Students who have been charged with a crime and are on suspension are not permitted on campus without authorization.
    • Students may not plan or go on a picnic or trip without the Principal’s express authorization.
    • The following sanctions may be imposed by the principal: fine, loss of attendance, loss of term certificate, suspension, forced issuance of TC, and expulsion.
    • Any student may be refused entrance at the Principal’s discretion if it seems in his/her judgement that admittance would be detrimental to the tranquilly of the school.
    • Promotion to a higher class, selection for university examinations, and issuance of progress, attendance, and conduct certificates are all entirely within the principal’s discretion. There is no right of appeal to any other authority with regard to the principal’s decision.
    • The student’s name will be deleted from the list of registered students if the fees and penalties for an instalment are not paid by the due date.
    • In order to protect the interests of students, faculty, parents, and the general public, the college administration and principal must take the necessary precautions to shield the college campus from political agitation and outside interference. Students and employees must cooperate with all such measures, including the method of college union elections as determined from time to time by the college administration and courts.
    • At any point when the student is enrolled in the institution, the Principal has the authority to grant a transfer certificate to an admitted student without the student’s or the guardian’s application.
    • To safeguard the goodwill and reputation of the college and the hostels, the Principal or other properly appointed college authorities may from time to time formulate and issue disciplinary rules regulating student behaviour both within and outside the college, whether they are permanent or temporary in nature.
    • Students are always invited to approach the principal and any other staff member for assistance, whether it is with academic issues or anything else.
    • A student who has a grievance against other students, faculty members, or non-faculty members must make that complaint in writing or verbally to the principal, the tutors, the department heads, or the disciplinary committee.
    • Those representations may be made by the pupils’ parents or guardians if required.
    • The college shall not discriminate against any community or group of students, and wrongdoing administrators and faculty members will face swift, severe repercussions.

Library Book Rules

    • Every college student has access to the library.
    • There should be complete silence throughout the library and its grounds.
    • Books, backpacks, umbrellas, folders, and other personal items are not permitted within the library.
    • They have the right to check out books from the college library with the submission of a borrower’s card. At the conclusion of the year, they must be returned.
    • The librarian must be notified right once if any cards are lost. There will be a fee for each card that is lost.
    • Books must be borrowed from and returned to the library at the times and in the ways specified by the library as needed.
    • At a time one book will be given to each degree student.
    • No member may maintain a book for more than two weeks. If no other applicants are available, the book may be provided to the same student again.
    • To any staff member, including instructors and non-teaching personnel, reference books shall not be distributed.
    • Students can utilise the book reservation service to obtain their own books.
    • The college will not accept absence as a justification for a late book return.
    • Even if the standard borrow term has not yet ended, the librarian may recall a book at any time.
    • The library’s books may not be borrowed by another member.
    • Members must replace missing books or pay the fee set by the principle if they need to purchase them.
    • When a book is due back and the date occurs on a holiday, it must be returned the next business day.
