About NSS

The NSS Unit of Al Jamia Arts and Science College functions in alignment with the National Objectives of the National Service Scheme, fostering the spirit of voluntary service and social responsibility among students.

With over a hundred energetic and enthusiastic volunteers, our unit is a vibrant community of young minds dedicated to creating meaningful change in society. Each volunteer brings unique skills and perspectives, united under one vision to serve humanity and build a better tomorrow.

National Service Scheme popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji’s Centenary year in 1969, and the first NSS unit in our college was started in the year 2011 as Unit no. KL 099. As the whole we have 100 volunteers in the unit. As per the guidelines the NSS volunteers should complete 240 hours of regular works and a seven-day special camping which is necessary for the successful completion of volunteer ship. Being an active member these student volunteers would have the exposure and experience to be the following: an accomplished social leader, an efficient administrator, a person who understands human nature.
