HOPE

HOPE

HOPE (Hold On Pain Ends) is an extension Programme of the institution, trying to find people who need any assistance.

Objective of the Practice:

  • To realize our vision and mission

  • To empower socially and economically backward communities
  • To achieve the best possible levels of personal and social well-being.
  • To achieve social justice through social change and development.

Context:

Social responsibility and inclusiveness form an integral part of the education process which helps them realize the social and economic disparities.  In the context of declining social commitment in the new generation, the college has set up a project called HOPE‌ to help students understand the importance of social service.

 A Helping Hand during Epidemic

During the outbreak of the epidemic, necessary assistance was provided to students and teachers who were diagnosed with the disease. Special counseling was arranged under the Department of Psychology for the students suffering from mental stress. Necessary equipment were handed over to the nearby PHC.

Flood Relief

Our students visited the flood-affected areas and provided necessary assistance, like cleaning and distribution of food and clothes, during floods in 2018 and 2019. The union conducted a collection campaign at the institutional level.

Raised a fund from students and donated to Madyamam Healthcare, as part of our charity activities. The money donated through Snehasparsham will be utilized for treatment of the poor.

Salva Home Care is a charitable trust for isolated people of the society. Our students help deliver the food and other necessities they need and visit them on special occasions which is a relief for the inmates.
