Examinations

External and internal exams are the two different types of examinations. The college’s Internal Examination Committee oversees internal exams. In a semester, there are typically two internal exams. The university holds the external exams at the end of of each semester. Following are the guidelines and rules:

  1. The students must arrive outside the exam room / hall precisely 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the Exam. The examination room will only be open to students 10 minutes before the exam starts.
  2. Without a valid Hallticket given by the institute, students will not be permitted inside the examination room / hall.
  3. The driving licence or another picture ID will be allowed in a location if a student forgets their Institute Identity Card, subject to verification by the pertinent instructor, examination coordinator, or HEAD OF DEPARTMENT concerned.
  4. Students get their question and answer sheets from the invigilator. Other than that paper, none shall be utilised. Exams completed on different types of paper will not be accepted.
  5. Before receiving permission from the invigilator, students are not permitted to see the question paper.
  6. Students are responsible for providing all necessary exam supplies, including pencils, pens, erasers, rulers, calculators, and other items.
  7. The invigilator will decide where to put the student’s bags, baggage, outdoor clothing, GSM, and other items.
  8. .Calculators with more than one-line displays or with alphanumeric displays (programmable calculators) are not permitted into the examination hall unless specified in advance by the examiner. If the invigilator reasonably believes that a student is using a calculator that does not conform to the rules, he or she has the discretion to replace the calculator and a report on the matter will be made on the invigilator’s declaration form.
  9. Do not talk or gesture inside the examination hall.
  10. Collect your answer book and carefully fill out the barcoding page that is connected with the registration number, subject code, subject title, exam date, and session information.
  11. Use a ballpoint pen to shade the relevant circles or boxes. Your response script will be rejected if it has improper shading.
  12. The answer book, supplementary book, drawing sheet, or graph sheet should not have your registration number or name written within.
  13. All electronic devices, including cell phones, programmable calculators, and other devices, are absolutely forbidden in the exam room.
  14. Verify that you have the right exam paper in your possession and determine whether or not all pages are printed. If not, inform the hall invigilator right away.
  15. Read the special instructions given in the question paper and follow them.
  16. If the question paper contains more than one section, write the answers in the separate answer books.
  17. Do not commence reading or writing until instructed by an alarm or bell to do so. Write clearly; illegible answers will not be awarded marks.
  18. Do not write anything on the question paper other than your registration number. writing any hint or note in the question paper is also a kind of malpractice
  19. Put your signature next to your exam register number in the attendance sheet, and ensure that you have received the correct answer booklet as specified in it.
  20. If you are in need of any data book, ask for it from the invigilator at the commencement of the examination. Do not write anything in the special materials issued. The data books and tables brought by the students should not contain any written material or additional sheets.
  21. Do not tear any pages out of the answer book. Rough work may be done on the last page of the answer book. Clearly cross out rough work before handing over your answer book.
  22. Bring a pen, pencil, scale, calculator, eraser, etc. that are required for the examination. Do not borrow any articles inside the examination` hall.
