The workshop is a two-day practical training programme organized by the Department of Computer Science and AI in association with IQAC to introduce students to the fundamentals of digital fabrication, CAD designing, and 3D printing. The programme focuses on transforming creative ideas into functional physical prototypes using modern design and fabrication techniques.
Students will receive hands-on training in FreeCAD for 3D modelling and CAD design, followed by an introduction to slicing techniques and printing parameters required for successful 3D printing. The workshop also includes live 3D printing demonstrations, allowing students to understand the complete workflow from digital design to physical output.
Through practical activities and project-based learning, participants will get an opportunity to design, modify, and develop their own 3D models while gaining practical exposure to digital fabrication tools. The workshop aims to encourage creativity, problem-solving, innovation, and prototyping skills among students and help them understand how digital designs can be transformed into real-world products.
