The Young Innovators Programme (YIP) is a flagship initiative of the Government of Kerala designed to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among students at various levels of education. The programme aims to identify creative minds, nurture their ideas, and transform them into tangible solutions that address real-world challenges. Through a structured framework of mentoring, training, and exposure, YIP provides students with opportunities to explore their potential, collaborate with experts, and contribute meaningfully to society through innovation.
To cultivate an ecosystem of innovation and creativity within the institution by empowering students to identify societal challenges and develop sustainable, technology-enabled, and socially relevant solutions that contribute to nation-building.
1. To foster a spirit of innovation, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship among students through systematic idea development and mentoring.
2. To establish a supportive platform that connects students with industry experts, academic mentors, and research institutions.
3. To promote interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing community-based and global challenges through innovative approaches.
4. To encourage the translation of innovative ideas into practical prototypes and viable entrepreneurial ventures.
5. To integrate innovation-driven learning into the academic environment, thereby nurturing responsible, skilled, and future-ready citizens.
